UCCN – UNESCO Creative Cities Network

Around 300 cities worldwide already bear the title “UNESCO Creative City” and acknowledge that creativity is the key to many challenges of our time. Its goal is to create conditions at the local level that promote culture and creativity and ensure sustainable urban development. There is a lively exchange within the network; members share experiences, best-practice examples and innovative solutions that make their cities resilient, sustainable and fit for the future.

Gmunden considers itself well equipped to become part of this global network and is participating in the 2023 application process.
