Ceramics is for everyone! Whether big, whether small, talented or just enthusiastic and determined – trying it out is fun in any case!
Painting ceramics yourself
The Gmundner Keramik Manufaktur offers visitors the opportunity to try out the shapes, colors and tools of the manufactory themselves under expert guidance and to create a unique piece entirely according to their own taste. After three weeks, your own “work of art” is ready to be picked up or it will be sent to you.
Thomas Benirschke’s “Magic Pottery Disk
The hands-on activity “Turning the magic potter’s wheel with four hands” is a particularly popular attraction for children and their parents every year at the pottery market. On the “magic potter’s wheel”, own ideas and designs are spatially implemented. Parents crank for the drive; at the other end, children turn “four-handed” figures and vessels with the assistance of ceramic designer and artist Thomas Benirschke. Making clay “comprehensible”, learning to “feel and shape”, happens here playfully and easily. The works can be taken away and burned later.
“Almtaler Kinderatelier” (Almtaler children´s studio)
The Almtaler Kinderatelier offers weekly courses for children aged five to fifteen in various creative disciplines. Afterwards, the works will be presented in an exhibition.
