Projects of the “Local Heroes

As part of the European Capital of Culture 2024, six permanent art interventions in public spaces are planned, conceived and implemented by local artist duos, the “Local Heroes”. The projects will combine different materials and disciplines, such as ceramics, graphics, painting, light, water and video art. The agenda includes the redesign of the city fountain on “Rathausplatz” ( with ceramic and lighting elements, the artistic staging of house facades, the design of a youth meeting place by students, and an urban design project by the social organisation “Lebenshilfe”.
